For prevention and control of HIV/AIDS infection in the state, 72 targeted intervention projects and 09 link worker schemes are being run by Madhya Pradesh State AIDS Control Committee through non-governmental organizations. Apart from this, 19 OST centres are being operated in the state for the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS among high risk groups of needle drug users. At present, 14 OST centres are in Bhopal, Chhatarpur, Guna, Gwalior, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Narmadapuram, Narsinghpur, Panna, Ranjhi (Jabalpur), Rewa, Satna, Sehore, Sidhi and Ujjain districts and 04 NGO OST centers are operated through non-governmental organizations. Additionally, one satellite OST center operates in the Central Jail, Bhopal.

Jail Intervention:-

In the financial year 2024-25, the Madhya Pradesh State AIDS Control Committee is running a Jail Intervention Programme in all 131 jails, 15 Swadhar Greh, 52 One Stop Centres, 14 De-addiction Centres of the state.
